About Julie

Hello, my name is Julie Patula. I would first like to start out by saying I am an extremely blessed woman. I have the most wonderful husband and family anyone could ask for and I thank my Lord for that every day. My husband and I were blessed with our first baby boy in April of 2020 and have been filled with so much joy! I strive to be a faithful person and to bring out the best in myself and those around me. I believe life is all about becoming the best version of yourself physically, mentally, and spiritually and that is where my passion for nutrition and fitness begins.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education as well as a CISSN certification from the International Society of Sports Nutrition. The CISSN is the premier certification in the field of sports nutrition and supplementation. I am also a certified ISSA Personal Trainer.

Health and fitness has always been a part of my life. I started out as an avid runner and progressed into weight training and that is where my passion and fitness goals flourished. I have always enjoyed nutritious foods and it was a priority to stay physically fit, however I didn’t always accomplish this goal in the right way.  I went through periods of my life where I fell into the fad diets and gimmicks like many people do. I realized quickly, that fad diets are not sustainable and eventually everyone will fail.

After several years of contemplating competing in a physique competition, I finally decided to do my first figure competition in 2016. I knew I would need help with my nutrition if I was going to compete and reach my goals in a healthy manner. This is when I met Dr. Todd Miller and Registered Dietitian Stephanie Mull who created the “Miller Method” – a meeting which has forever changed my relationship with food and fitness. I was able to go above and beyond my physique goals in a healthy manner and I continue to utilize and believe wholeheartedly in this life altering, and more importantly, SUSTAINABLE way of life. Once I started changing my diet to match my metabolism, I was eating more than I ever had while simultaneously gaining muscle mass and losing body fat. I now am an affiliate of the Miller Method and their science is what powers the Patula Program.

I couldn’t be more thankful for the gifts and talents I’ve been given. I want to help others achieve their nutrition and fitness goals through this forever sustainable approach to fat loss. My favorite author, Matthew Kelly, quoted “The level of your happiness is determined by your level of discipline,” and I couldn’t agree more.
